Welcome to Valley View Elementary. My name is Jason Dotson and I am the principal at this amazing place! I live in this community with my wife, Breiann. We have 4 children, all boys. I really enjoy the outdoors and spending time with my family and friends. I received my BA from Lincoln Memorial University in 2002 and my MA from Union College in 2012.

Children in today’s society are the future leaders of tomorrow. As educators we must embrace the opportunity to prepare every single learner to be prepared for what lies ahead. My responsibility allows me to share ideas, research based materials, resources, and guidance to all stakeholders in this school community to better prepare our students. It is my belief that every student can be “good at something” and that we must find those talents and build on their strengths to better help them be successful.

At Valley View Elementary, we value this community and always put all students' best interest first. We are committed to excellence and will strive to always be better than before. It is Valley View’s vision that students at Valley View Elementary will be engaged, motivated to learn, and be better prepared for the future when they leave this place.
